Weavings on the internal staircases.
From the viewing gallery you can look down onto the dovecot weavers.
The first thing you notice is the beautiful and varied colours of the "wools."
There are interesting photographs around the viewing gallery of important Arts and Crafts sites.
Around the balcony there is a collection of weavings which when put together make a picture of the old baths.
During the next two days we worked on our 3D weavings. Weaving with lots of slits and joining various pieces together. When ready they were cut from the loom and the warp pulled to make curves and twists and a 3D structure.
These were very interesting experimental pieces and an enjoyable course.
We went home the following day and here are a few pictures of the fine city of Edinburgh.
Edinburgh is an interesting place to visit and we hope to visit again some time.
