Autumn Colour

The Autumn colours have been spectacularly beautiful this year despite some heavy rain. When the sun has shone it has lit up the leaves like jewels.

The individual leaves are a mass of rainbow shades even making decay look beautiful.

 Berries and fruits are hanging on the nearly bare branches waiting to feed the wild animals through the Winter.

Around the base of trees the fruiting bodies of  fungi appear helping to breakdown the vegetable material.

There is plenty to enjoy in an Autumn walk.
