Sailing around Italy - Montenegro, Kotor

By morning we had reached Montenegro and began to sail into a huge inlet called the Bay of Kotor. The bay is a ria which is
a flooded river valley formed at the end of the last ice age. The scenery was spectacular and great skill was needed to steer the boat into Kotor.

Kotor is a pretty town with narrow winding cobbled streets where Venetian influence is evident once again.

The old fortifications of the town are quite spectacular

Late in the afternoon we slowly made our way out of the Bay of Kotor
