Sailing around Italy - Italy , Taormina
This morning we awoke on the Eastern shore of Sicily and we were full of expectation for our visit to Taormina. We were taken up a narrow winding road to near the top and then a lift took us the last part and we were in Taormina with the most impressive views.
We then made our way to the Greek amphitheatre with its views of Mount Etna, the sea and surrounding countryside.
We set sail in the evening and passed through the straights of Messina during dinner.
