This morning I went into the Leisure centre in Kendal where there were displays and stalls of everything to do with wool including some of the animals.
There were also come chicks in an incubator.
There were lots of stalls full of beautifully coloured dyed wool tops and spun wool waiting to be knitted, woven or embroidered.
It was wonderful to see crafts which go back centuries still being practised.
I bought some lichen coloured curly fleece to take with me when I go to North Wales to take an embroidery workshop on Lichens.

End of British Summer time
Last night the clocks went back signalling the end of British Summer Tine. So we have the long dark nights and short days to look forward to but I am hoping to make use of them by making things when it is too cold and wet to go out!
I finished the embroidery below yesterday which was inspired by an old boat in the Cyclades.
